Hospital Comfort Fund
Hospital Comforts Fund provides for the care and comfort Canadian Armed Forces members confined to hospital from injury, illness, accident or surgery for longer than 48 hours have access to telephone, television, internet services and reading materials for the duration of their stay in hospital. OP Santa Claus
Operation Santa Claus began in 1992, when a group of Montreal housewives organized sending Christmas packages to their serving spouses on Peacekeeping duties. Operation Santa Claus's success can be attributed to the outstanding response of the Canadian public showing support for our men and women of the Canadian Forces. (Learn More)
Support Our Troops Merchandise
- CFMWS is pleased to offer a new way to give back to Support Our Troops. 100% of proceeds from the sale of Support Our Troops merchandise will be donated to the Soldier On Fund.
From the cannon used as a “starter’s pistol” to the “dog-tag” medals soldiers place around all participants necks at the finish line, this unique event is “military” from start to finish. More than anything, though, Canada Army Run, is about Canadians and the Canadian Armed Forces – Air Force, Army, and Navy – joining together in the spirit of camaraderie and community. It’s a chance for the troops to extend the military esprit de corps to Canadians and to thank them for their support. And, it’s an opportunity for Canadians to say thanks to the men and women who serve them in so many ways at home and abroad.
The tournament is an official tournament on the Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada schedule. It features some of the best young Canadian and International golfers in the world at a crucial point in the Mackenzie Tour season. Proceeds from the National Capital Open will benefit the Support Our Troops program.

CFMWS has taken up Soldiers Helping Soldiers (SHS) Grow Potato challenge to grow at least 100 pounds of potatoes and donate their crop to local shelters this fall in an effort to feed the homeless in the Ottawa area.
