Why educate CAF members on personal financial management?
The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) wants members and their families to have a healthy financial future. With Financial Education from SISIP, participants acquire the tools to incorporate financial health principles in their daily decisions. This will enable them to become financially independent and allow them to enjoy a higher quality of life.
What do CAF members learn from the SISIP Financial Education course?
The Personal Financial Management course teaches recruits and officer cadets, as part of the CAF Basic Military Qualification program, how to manage their personal financial affairs. They become familiar with key financial management principles, such as using credit wisely and managing money with the help of a budget.
