A career choice of the Canadian Forces involves personal sacrifice for members and their families. While they do not choose how, when or where they are needed, Canadian Forces members serve our country with commitment and distinction.
This recording was made possible with funding from Non-Public Property, a unique class of funds that exists thanks to the internal activities of serving and former members of the Canadian Forces and their families. Non-Public Property was created in 1950 through the National Defence Act to provide members with a mechanism to support their communities with morale and welfare programs and activities. The Support Our Troops program and Fund are mechanisms through which Canadians can contribute to Non-Public Property.
The majority of instruments used on this recording were played by professional musicians that are members of the Canadian Forces. Their participation was made possible with the kind authorization of General Walter Natynczyk, Chief of the Defence Staff.
