There are several ways to know if your notebook has wireless capabilities.
Method #1

Right-click My Computer, and then select Properties. |

The System Properties window appears. |

Click the Hardware tab and then click the Device Manager button. |

The Device Manager window appears. |

Open the Network adapters list. |
|
If you see a wireless network adapter, then your computer has a wireless card. |

Method #2
Check the lights and stickers on your notebook.
If you see an icon similar to any of the following, your notebook is probably wireless enabled.

Method #3
Click Start, Control Panel, and then Network Connections.
If you see a Wireless Network Connection this means you have a wireless card included in your notebook.
Method #4
You have a wireless enabled notebook if you often see the following message appearing at the bottom of your screen: "Wireless networks detected".
Method #5
Your notebook is wireless enabled if you see the following icon(s) in the system tray at the bottom of your screen.
